Trinh Cong Son Scholarship

1. What are the main judging criteria?

The student’s talent/ability and development potential are the most important criteria. Additionally, your supporting video statement should demonstrate why you should be awarded the scholarship with your experience and aspirations, how you plan to use your knowledge in the future, and your responsibilities if you were to become a Trinh Cong Son scholar.

2. Who should write my recommendation letters and what content should they contain?

The recommendation letters should be written by someone who knows you well in either an academic or professional capacity. It should be written, where possible, on the headed paper of the school, university, organization or company and be included with your application, in support of your application. It should provide justifications as to why you would be a suitable recipient for the Trinh Cong Son Scholarship and the referees’ detailed contact information.

3. What happens if I am awarded a scholarship?

If you are chosen, you will be informed by email and phone. An official letter will follow to provide you with your award details. All official arrangements will be made with you directly. You will be required to formally accept the scholarship and its terms and conditions. The continuation and extension of your scholarship are based on satisfactory performance plus other progression criteria at the end of the initial year.

4. What happens if my scholarship application is rejected?

Once a decision has been made, you will be informed as soon as possible by email. Please note that to ensure fairness, the Board of Advisors will not enter into individual correspondence with a student, either before or after a decision has been made. The decision of the Board is final, and not open to appeal.
